Miguel started his love affair with paella as a teenager when his beloved uncle taught him the secrets of the dish. Cooking Paella is a combination of different small touches of different ingredients here and there in a special way, and at the end it all comes together into this amazing dish...

We are also liquor licenced so we can not only provide you with the RSA & Food staff but also the drinks. Even more we have portable yet elegant bars you can hire.

We recently won the Australian Good Food Guide 2014 ‘Reader’s Choice Award’ and also the Australian Achievers ‘Best in NSW’ award for events and functions. We have been finalist in numerous other awards.
Flavours of Spain are the organisers of the International Spanish Paella Championships in Australia, in which chefs compete for the title of Best Paella Chef in Oceania. The top three go on to compete in the finals in Spain for the title of Best Paella Chef in the world!
As Spanish Paella Ambassador to Australia; Founder, Director and Chef of Flavours of Spain; council member of the Restaurant and Catering Association Australia; and one of the best paella chefs in the world, Miguel is many things.
He has received numerous awards for Flavours of Spain, written multiple articles on the subject of food and paella and been reviewed by food critics and food guides, including the influential international ‘food bible’ Gault & Millau. Miguel organises the International Paella Championships in Oceania and is part of the jury which selects the best paella chefs in Oceania who will go on to the world finals in Spain where he also takes part.
“I grew up in the countryside in Spain in a region famous for its gastronomic delicacies and earthy dishes. In my family it was the tradition to produce our own small goods, chorizo, black pudding, jam, cider, we made it all! This passion for food has move into all my paellas. I look for the best and we use only premium ingredients and cook with care and excitement."

The prices depend on the size and location of your party but an approximate figure would be from $28 per person for an event of 50 people and $20 per person for an event of 100 people. The more people the lower the price. And we don't have any hidden charges, our quotes are final. Every party has different requirements so get in touch and we will give you a quote pronto!

Depends on the paella/paellas that you want us to cook. Basic ingredients are rice, garlic, stock, paprika, peppers, saffron and extra virgin olive oil. Then we will add seafood, meat veggies or whatever the ingredients needed for your chosen paella/paellas. We can cater to specific request i.e.: food allergies and vegetarians.
Yes we do!! We'll take our big paella pans, burners and tables with us and cook it from scratch, it makes great viewing for guests. You don't need to provide anything for the cooking as we take everything we need with us.
We have catered for anything between 10 to 600+ people events. There is no such thing as a typical party, we have had so many different types:

Terms and Conditions Cancellation Policy
Booking confirmation in writing or via email will be requested from yourself “the Client”, for the provision of services relating to the Client’s event “the Event” by Flavours of Spain, the service provider, “FoS”. This booking confirmation will become “the Contract” between the Client and FoS. Once this confirmation is received a non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total fee for the Event must be received by FoS within 3 working days via bank transfer, cheque or cash.
The remaining 60% of the total fee for the Event must be received by FoS, from the Client, a minimum of 3 days prior to the Event date unless alternative arrangements are made with FoS management.
Reductions in the numbers of guests of more than 20% of the agreed total in the Contract will not be accepted within 7 working days of the Event unless agreed by the Client and FoS management. Increases in the number of guests may be accepted up to 3 hours before the Event, with the additional cost (for the additional guests) to be paid as per arrangements made with FoS management.
In the absence of written or email confirmation from the Client, payment of the deposit will be considered as acceptance of these terms and conditions by the Client.
